Bryant's Gap is a canyon in an unspecified area of Texas. It is considered dangerous due to the narrow path through the canyon and its high, rocky walls.
Bryant's Gap is the site of the ambush that gave birth to the Lone Ranger. While Collins guided six Texas Rangers into the pass, Butch Cavendish and his gang were waiting in the rocks above. They opened fire and thought they killed all six Rangers, including Captain Dan Reid and his younger brother John. However, John was found clinging to life by Tonto and became the Lone Ranger.
